WHAT IS BACK YOUR BEAR? 

  • The Back Your Bear (BYB) campaign is our main PTO fundraiser of the year, and it powers so much more than you might think. Your donations help fund the experiences, materials, and upgrades that elevate our school beyond the basics—things like:
    • School furniture (e.g., desks) 
    • Library books
    • Classroom expenses 
    • Professional development
    • School security needs
    • Playground Equipment
    • Landscaping
    • Special events
    • School used apps such as: School Dismissal Manager, IXL, BrainPop, RAZ Plus, PebbleGo, and more!
  • Every dollar you give goes directly to LES - and it's 100% tax deductible! 
  • Our goal this year is to raise $57,000+ to keep enriching our students' experience and investing in the future of our school! 
  • The 2025-2026 Back Your Bear Campaign will run from July 31st - August 14th, 2025. 

 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CLASS CHALLENGE

  • To participate in the class challenge, fill out the BYB Online Form (link) or turn in your green form by Thursday, August 14th! 
  • No donation is required to participate in the challenge.  
  • The volume of green forms (online or paper) that are returned determines which classes win prizes! 
  • Challenge winners will be announced at our school pep rally on Friday, August 15th!  Challenge prizes include: 
    • If 85% of students return their green forms (paper or online), the WHOLE SCHOOL will celebrate with extra recess! 
    • The FIRST class to return 100% of their green forms (paper or online) will earn a Mystery Prize Pack! 
    • EACH class that returns 100% of their green forms (paper or online) will get to eat lunch outside. 
    • The GRADE that returns the most green forms (paper or online) will get a frozen treat at recess! 

 

BACK YOUR BEAR SPIRIT WEEK

  • We will celebrate the conclusion of our BYB campaign with school spirit week from Monday, August 11th - Friday, August 15th. 
  • Dress up days will be: 
    • Monday, August 11th: Pajama Day
    • Tuesday, August 12th: Tropical Day 
    • Wednesday, August 13th: Wacky Wednesday
    • Thursday, August 14th: Team Day
    • Friday, August 15th: School Spirit Day (wear your grade colors!)

FAQS

  • How do I donate? 
    • Online donations are accepted via credit/debit card or EFT by completing the online form and selecting your donation amount. CLICK HERE TO DONATE. 
    • Check/Cash donations are accepted by sending to your teacher in an envelope with your green form. 
    • Venmo @LipscombElementaryPTO - but make sure to fill out your green form or put the child’s name in the Venmo comment for participation credit! 
    • All donations are 100% tax deductible. If paying online, a receipt will be e-mailed to you. If paying by check, your cancelled check is your receipt or a receipt will be provided upon request. 
  • Who can donate? 
    • We accept donations from all family and friends of LES! Be sure to share this link with them!
  • What if I can't donate at this time? 
    • No worries! Please still fill out the green form (online or paper) to ensure your child's class earns credit for your participation. CLICK HERE TO FILL OUT YOUR FORM! 
    • Consider visiting our "Volunteer Info" page and sign up to volunteer time instead!
